From the Barbary Coast of North Africa, the Tunisian Baklouti pepper is rare and unique to this region. Produced at our importer’s mill in Tunisia, this is the only example of this fruity & mildly spicy artisan green chile olive oil in the world.
This olive oil is made by combining one pound of organic Chetoui olives with 10 pounds of fresh whole green Baklouti chilies. The two ingredients are then crushed together, fusing the fresh green pepper with the organic olive oil. The end result is an intensely aromatic and spicy oil!
We love it drizzled over eggs, potatoes, grilled vegetables and various Mexican dishes.
